Eleftheria Lialios
Eleftheria (Freedom) Lialios is a Chicago-based photographer with a long and distinguished history in the Chicago art community. Originally from Detroit, she got her start photographing locally distinct communities at a time when Detroit was in its famous decline; communities that are long gone in sections of a city that have vanished.
Lialios’ photographs are included in the collections of the The J Paul Getty Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography in Thessaloniki, Greece, and the Hellenic Museum in Chicago.
